BBC reports on commercial cheating services

A recent BBC article, Essay cheating at universities an ‘open secret’ despite new law, reports that commercial cheating organizations are actively targeting students via social media and on their website. The article notes one alleged essay provider claims to have made “millions” preparing what he called “model answer essays” for students. It also points to other commercial cheating services that provide students with tools to help evade AI detection. The dangers of commercial cheating organizations are worldwide, putting students, academic institutions, credentialing programs, and employers at risk.
