CIAA Recognized as 2025 Person of the Year for Academic Integrity

The Credential Integrity Action Alliance (CIAA) has been recognized as the 2025 Person of the Year for Academic Integrity in The Cheat Sheet’s NY25/26 Best and Worst in Academic Integrity article. We are grateful to Derek Newton for highlighting the collective efforts underway to address commercial cheating and its growing impact on education and professional licensure. One significant milestone highlighted by Newton is the passage of CIAA’s Model Statute in Georgia, which prohibits the sale of commercial cheating services and takes an important step in safeguarding educational institutions and licensure programs. We are honored and encouraged by The Cheat Sheet’s recognition of the important work of CIAA and look forward to working with our members to continue advancing those efforts in 2026.
